Tudor-Hart in her last essay described the collaborative nature of the pictures for Moving and Growing:
"When I arrived I would have a short talk with the children, explaining what I was trying to do and letting them have a good look at lights and camera. (I tried to let every child have a look through the viewfinder.) When this was over I switched on my lights and asked them to do their dance for me once, or per. haps twice.
