The Hyman Collection is delighted to have acquired a major group of works by John Blakemore, one of the greatest nature photographers and printers in the history of British photography. Purchased dorect from the photographer, this group of works includes some of the largest and most beautiful photographs Blakemore has ever printed. These photographs include variations of the same image to understand better the photographer's process, and include the use of selenium and gold toning. They add to the works by Blakemore that are already in the collection.
