Mat Collishaw is a key figure in the important generation of British artists who emerged from Goldsmith’s College in the late 1980s. At Photo London 2017, Mat presents a Virtual Reality exhibition that restages Fox Talbot’s pioneering 1839 exhibition of photography, which was the first major public exhibition of photographs.
Collishaw will speak with Dr James Hyman, a fine art and vintage photography gallerist and collector, and co-founder of The Hyman Collection which includes photography from its earliest days in the 19th century through to contemporary practice. Their conversation will leap from the vintage prints of the 19th century to the future technologies in VR.
