The Hyman Collection has an extensive archive of material by and about John Blakemore spanning 1958-2020. Over many years we have purchased photographs and archive material from Blakemore himelf and he kindly donated a wonderful collection of his unique artist's books. In addition to this material we have also purchased an extensive archive from the estate of Blakemore's friend, the photographer Richard Sadler.
The John Blakemore archive complements that of the Birmingham Public Library and includes material not found in that collection or elsewhere.
