We are delighted to have added to the collection over 60 unique hand-made artist's books by John Blakemore.
Over the last twenty years artist's books have been a focus of Blakemore's activities. Often based on colour pohotographs, commercially printed, these works on first sight appear to move on from his earlier equisite black and white darkroom prints. However, in common with his earlier series of landscapes and tulips, these works retain his preoccupation with working in series, combining images, and sequencing the pictures. They are amongst his most remarkable works.
