Brandt's 58 Hillfield Court stamp on verso and also inscribed Lilliput.
This extremely rare image is the actual photograph used for one of Bill Brandt's most celebrated published stories, a collaborative piece for Lilliput magazine of photographs by Brandt and drawings by Henry Moore of people sheltering from the bombs in the tunels of the London Underground.
This famous feature began with this photograph by Brandt of Moore, and the Hyman Collection print has Barndt's hand-written annotations for the Lilliput designer on the reverse.
