This laser photograph shows an image of Margaret Thatcher waving to supporters in north London during her run for Prime Minister. The image is framed in pencil and white paint in preparation for press publication. On the edges of the image there is an orange mark and a press note that reads, '65'.
A caption further explains the image:
'(NY91) LONDON, May 3--PROBABLE PRIME MINISTER-Margaret Thatcher, leader of Britain's Conservative Party, waves to supporters in her north London constituency early Friday after retaining her seat in Parliament with an almost doubled majority. Early predictions by political pundits, were that Mrs. Thatcher would be Britain's first woman prime minister after all the votes were in. Another stamp on the reverse reads, 'OTHER'.
