From the edition of 5.
"We took this picture on a summer's evening in late July when the promenade was uncharacteristically empty and serene. Southend-on Sea, a popular seaside resort in Essex on the north side of the Thames estuary, is famous for having the world's longest pleasure pier, just visible to the right of the kiosk. The name 'Wish you were here', a phrase traditionally written on postcards sent by holidaymakers, seemed at odds with the slightly melancholic setting. We hear that this kiosk has recently expanded and now boasts a viewing deck."
