Edition 1 of 10 with two AP's.

Signed and numbered on the reverse.

Polly Penrose has commented on this picture:

"People have a very strong reaction to it, often of horror at how thin and vulnerable I look, but I find it a very tender moment. I was thin and vulnerable and finding motherhood quite hard, but I was lying in the garden at my dad's house. There had been a beautiful sunset and I felt rooted and peaceful. A lot of my work is quite frenetic (not necessarily in the finished picture, but definitely in the process of making it), but this one was a very calm serene moment and feels a bit like a fairytale."
