One of Michael Landy’s major early works was entitled Market. This large-scale installation comprised market-stall stands, artificial grass and plastic bread-crates and was first presented in a disused warehouse in south London. The video shows grocers setting up their stalls and using plastic crates ‘borrowed’ from bread manufacturers as platforms for their produce.
