Inscribed by Spence: "Being told I had cancer... which way to turn?"

The top photograph was taken just after Spence had received the news that she had cancer. The two lower were taken moments later use blurring to show double images of Spence's face: in the first she moves her head up and down to create two faces and in the second moves side to side. The resulting images are an appropriately disorientating accompaniment to the caption.
