The image features Margaret Thatcher waving to well wishers from a window of Conservative Party headquarters in Westminster after having won the General Election in 1983. Upon the surface of the photograph there are graphite and orange pencil lines as well as white paint framing a cropped version for press publication.

A caption further explains:
