This is a close-up image of Margaret Thatcher announcing the next general election for Britons in May of 1983. The image has been marked in white and black paint to frame the smaller cropped would be image for press publication. Also, there is a small piece of clear tape over the lower center of the photograph.
On the reverse, there are two typed labels.
The first label reads, 'Thatcher Margarete', and has two date stamps. The first is for, 'MAY 10 1983 E', and the second is for, 'FEB 4 1984 E'. Also over this label is the penciled number, '-52'.
The second label reads, 'A P Cut Line May 10, 1983. A small reminisce of a yellow piece of pair is attached to the label. Additionally, over the label someone has stamped, 'OTHER'.
Finally, over the second label, is a barcode sticker numbered, 'AFV-925-BS'.
