Signed in pencil on verso

Stamped: Photographed and Printed by: Colin Jones

Inscribed in pencil, "Vintage"

Colin Jones was a professional dancer for the Royal Ballet and his interest in photography developed in the late 1950s and early 1960s during which he toured with the company. Some of his most remarkable early photographs show the dancers at work, behind the scenes and at leisure. In addition to these pictures, The Hyman Collection also includes striking close-up portraits of the main protagonists including the choreographer Kenneth MacMillan, and dancers Lynn Seymour and Rudolf Nureyev.
