This photograph comes from the most important project of Killip's early career, his Isle of Man portfolio. The portfolio consists of twelve original photographs and was published by Witken-Berley, New York in 1973.

25 sets were made. The Hyman Collection has number 2.

Original tan cloth portfolio. Portfolio 14 x 11 1/2 inches (370 x 295 mm), 4 pp.. text and twelve gelatin silver prints, each dry-mounted to card, signed and dated in pencil on mount (l/r/) with a portfolio label on the verso of each, images largely 5 1/2 x 7 1/4 inches (140 x 185 mm) or the reverse.

A rare portfolio, with superb images. Includes George and Geoffrey Quirk, Ballanquine, Mr. and Mrs. Corlett, Ballakilleyclieu, Miss Redpath, Regaby, Cashtal-yn-Ard, Kitchen, Cooil-Sleau Farm, Man Ploughing, Dalby, St. Luke's Church, Baldwin, Susan Hyslop, Ballachrink, Mr. and Mrs. Mylroi, Church Farm, Cregneash, Mr. Raddcliffe, The Blackhill, Castletown, Ballakiel Farmhouse, Andreas.
