The photographers have explained:

"We spent some time exploring Cornwall in preparation for residencies in the fishing port of Newlyn, and at the Eden Project, a huge china clay crater brilliantly transformed into a series of stunning planted environments. We felt it was only right to visit Cornwall's most famous landmark, Land's End, despite (or perhaps because of) warnings that it had been ruined by insensitive development. We visited on a wet grey summer's day and saw for ourselves the jarring discord between 'visitor attractions' and 'a place of stunning beauty and natural scenery'. A forlorn looking pigeon was sheltering under the table as the smell of greasy burgers and fries hung in the air and Mister Blobby's insane electronic utterances emanated from a children's ride. The coast itself, although barely visible due to fog, was indeed stunning!"
