In the series A.N.O.B (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), produced between 1982 and 1984, Keith Arnatt addresses what he characterised as the 'conjunction of beauty and banality'. The photographs in the series were taken across England in areas classified for their natural beauty. However, Arnatt presents not just untouched beauty but also the intrusion of man, including vehicles, detritus and abandoned objects.
This print is registered with the Keith Arnatt Estate under inventory number AE3 005 01 111.
