Accompanied the Bluebell Girls, a Parisian cabaret troupe on tour to Italy

Mother's Day Off
Robertson joined a group of women from Bermondsey on a day trip to Margate

1955
Robertson's photographs of a woman giving birth are published in Picture Post

1956
Life magazine commissions Robertson to re-shoot Mother's Day Off, this time featuringwomen from Clapham, South London.

1957
After the collapse of the Picture Post Robertson works as a freelance photojournalist

1966
Trained as a primary school teacher whilst still pursuing photography- teacher until 1978

Subject of Channel 4 documentary

1989
Grace Robertson- Photojournalist of the 50s (monograph) published

Robertson is commissioned by the BBC to make a documentary about nonagenarians

Robertson receives an OBE in recognition of her services to photography and is awarded the Wingate Scholarship

Robertson's work was featured in How We Are at Tate Britain
In recognition of her services to photojournalism, Robertson is awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Education by Brunel University
